The Seahawks make a big move at the trade deadline to get an All-Pro caliber offensive lineman as Duane Brown comes to the team. Seattle gives up a couple of high draft picks and end up keeping Jeremy Lane after he fails a physical. Brandan is baffled that the Texans would find a way to send him back to Seattle, especially considering the outcome of what may have been the best NFL game to watch this year. The Seahawks and Texans battled back and forth the entire game. Seattle was the only team with back-to-back scores and Russell Wilson accumulates another “stat.”
Although the Seahawks defense gave up nearly 40 points, there were some noteworthy performances on the defensive line and multiple interceptions by the Legion of Boom helped Russell Wilson and the offense to rack up enough points in a shootout nobody could have predicted. The guys talk about Deshaun Watson and how he deserves praise for the kind of performance that even veteran quarterbacks haven't been able to achieve in Seattle.
The guys look ahead to Sunday's upcoming game against Washington, offer a look at their talent that Seattle fans should be aware of and discuss why the condition their opponent's offensive line has Adam wishing for the perfect weather to give Kirk Cousins something to look forward to.
In the second half of the show, Brandan gives a mid-season update on the bet with the Rams Podcast. There's a new patch donated from a member of the flock to go out to podcast listeners and a new prize to offer up to the pick'em league champion. Do better nods this week go out to an Ad Council commercial that features some creepy cutaways and to the national media for not giving the Seahawks the appropriate level of attention after their latest win.
To close out the show, Brandan gives a better at life award to the Texans quarterback for joining an elite trio of quarterbacks and Adam professes his love to the Seahawks general manager for doing something about an issue he's been complaining about for a while.
