Seahawks training camp is underway and Brandan and Adam are jacked up and ready to go for the 2017 season. Another guy who should be fired up for the season is Kam Chancellor who just signed a three-year extension to help ensure he's with the team for another four seasons and potentially retire as a member of the Seahawks. The guys break down what Chancellor has meant to the club over the past years, some of the moments where he's changed games, and why the role he plays with the team is so important.
Not only is Kam back and ready, other members of the Legion of Boom are standing out including Earl Thomas as well as early reports of Jeremy Lane making strides to securing the cornerback spot opposite Richard Sherman. Not all news is good though. Camp starts without the Seahawk top pick in town after an reported ATV injury kept Malik McDowell from reporting on time. Questions still remain over the extent of his injuries.
The guys talk about the latest with the offensive line through the first couple days as Adam impatiently wants things to already be settled before going into the first preseason game and the guys close out the first half of the show by talking about a recent Richard Sherman interview.
A cool announcement as we thank an anonymous donor, who says that for everyone who joins the flock at getintheflock.com for the next month at the $3 level (or higher) it will bring an additional $3 to the show. Finally, do better nods go to Andy Benoit of Monday Morning Quarterback and Dave Dameshek of NFL Network for ranking some Seahawks far too low on their respective offseason lists. Better at life honors go to Sheil Kapadia, Seahawks beat reporter at ESPN, and to Tabby's star for spurring Adam to believe intelligent life forms are out there in our galaxy.
