12: Cardinals recap, Rams preview, Joe Tafoya interview

http://media.blubrry.com/seahawkerspodcast/p/traffic.libsyn.com/seahawkerspodcast/Episode_12.mp3

Episode12Episode TWELVE is dedicated to the 12th Man. Not only do we get to discuss one of the Seahawks most impressive victories this season against the Cardinals, we bring on a former member of the Seattle Seahawks. Adam and Brandan also talk about the upcoming road game against the Rams. Adam says that a “land hurricane” can't even save the Rams from a loss this week.

Joe Tafoya, a 7-year veteran of the NFL and defensive end for the Seahawks from 2005-2006, joins the Sea Hawkers Podcast to talk about Volume 12. As co-owner of Volume 12, he led the effort behind the record breaking attempt for the loudest crowd roar against the San Francisco 49ers.

One thing is clear, Tafoya is not impressed with the way the Kansas City Chiefs broke the Seahawks noise record. Instead of having the crowd roar be an organic part of the game, he says that Chiefs fans were directed to assemble what fans were remaining in the stadium and let out one big cheer in one final attempt to break Seattle's mark.

In the final segment of the show, Brandan lists some of the top moments in the history of the 12th Man. The show is capped by the Seahawks fans at the Arizona game earning well-deserved recognition for being Better at life than Skip Bayless and also louder than the Cardinals own home crowd.

11: Titans recap, Cardinals preview, Mark Tye Turner interview

http://media.blubrry.com/seahawkerspodcast/p/traffic.libsyn.com/seahawkerspodcast/Episode_11.mp3

Episode11It's a short week and the Seahawks matchup with the Arizona Cardinals is right around the corner. Although the stats show the Seahawks dominate this game, Adam and Brandan talk about some of the reasons why the score of the game was so close. They also discuss three of the hilarious moments (one in hindsight) from the game.

The Cardinals have historically been a tough matchup in Arizona, and the Seahawks will look to break that streak. The Seahawks strength on the defensive front matches up very well against the Cardinals struggling offensive line.

Author Mark Tye Turner visits the podcast, Mark wrote the book, Notes from a 12th Man: A Truly Biased History of the Seattle Seahawks. He's also a regular Seahawks contributor for the Seattle Times.

The final segment of the show includes a call for a small group of Seahawks/Huskies fans to cut Walter Thurmond some slack and Scott Zolak goes anti-Gus Johnson. Kansas City Chiefs fans and Adrian Peterson cap off the show earning recognition as “Better at life than Skip Bayless.”

10: Colts recap, Titans preview, Johnnie Peel interview

http://media.blubrry.com/seahawkerspodcast/p/traffic.libsyn.com/seahawkerspodcast/Episode_10.mp3

Episode10If you’re feeling down about the Seahawks 34-28 loss to the Colts, this is the episode to download to help get you cheered up and ready for the matchup against the Tennessee Titans.  What kind of chance do the Titans have? Adam has the answer.

There were several plays, players, coaches, and refs to hang this loss on, so Adam and Brandan point the finger at just about all of them, followed up with our tips on how to cope with any Seahawks loss.

Johnnie Peel, the blogger behind davekreigsstrikebeard.blogspot.com, comes on the show to compare Russell Wilson to quarterbacks of yesteryear and talk about why your confidence should not be shaken in this team’s Super Bowl XLVIII destiny.

Former NFL safety John Lynch and Tony Romo are the target of this week’s ‘Do Better' segment. Adam and Brandan talk about why Denver isn't the lock everyone seems to think they are to make it to the Super Bowl. The final segment gets a little crazy when an unknown “patriot” who made an appearance at the President’s Cup is honored along with a 3-year-old who is already ‘Better at Life than Skip Bayless.'

9: Texans recap, Colts preview, Jenny Goos interview

http://media.blubrry.com/seahawkerspodcast/p/traffic.libsyn.com/seahawkerspodcast/Episode_9.mp3

Episode9The Seattle Seahawks are 4-0 for the first time in franchise history. Brandan and Adam break down where the game turned around for the Seahawks, pinpoint the time when fans may have thought the team wouldn't come back, and how J.J. Watt looked like he belonged in the next installment of Scream.

In the Colts preview, Adam feels like he has to pick at least one game for the Seahawks to lose this season and this week is the one. Feel free to leave him some nasty comments on The Sea Hawkers Podcast Facebook page.

Jenny Goos, of OnHerGame.com, drops in at the 52:30 mark to talk about the win and her letter to the 49ers fans who complained about the crowd noise at CenturyLink. She also passes on some words of wisdom on how guys can help get their wives and girlfriends more interested in the games. Don't bother with the rules-tell her stories about the players and why this team has so many great guys to root for.

Coincidentally, the podcast obtains an “exclusive follow-up editorial” from Rich and Judy who find another fairness issue to complain about beyond the crowd noise. This time they tackle the issue of fairness of the schedule.

49ers and Houston fans alike are the focus of this week's “Do Better” segment, Richard Sherman is the first two-time honoree of the “Better at Life than Skip Bayless” segment and Steven Hauschka earns the honor for his game-winning kick.

8: Jaguars recap, Texans preview, Darin Pike interview

http://media.blubrry.com/seahawkerspodcast/p/traffic.libsyn.com/seahawkerspodcast/Episode_8.mp3

Episode8After a 45-17 win over the Jaguars this week, Brandan and Adam tip their hat to the Jaguars for doing something the 49ers couldn't do–score a touchdown at CenturyLink. After the game, the defense made a point in saying that giving up 17 points and 265 yards was unacceptable. Should fans agree with that view?

One thing that is becoming apparent is the improved chemistry between Russell Wilson and the Seahawks receivers. Brandan wraps up the Jaguars recap by trying to make Jacksonville feel a little bit better about their decision to draft Bryan Anger ahead of Russell Wilson (as much as that's possible). In a preview of the Houston game, Brandan expects a much closer game between the Texans and Seahawks. Despite having the #2 ranked defense, Adam can't find a single player on the Texans defense to give credit to.

Darin Pike, Seahawks columnist for Bleacher Report, comes on to talk about the teams in the NFC West. Having originally predicted the 49ers to finish third in the division, Darin now says they'll finish behind both the Rams and Cardinals.

Adam kicks of the inaugural “Do Better” segment by calling out Jacoby Jones of the Ravens. Brandan picks on Frank Gore for challenging his coach on the sidelines following the 49ers game against the coach. Finally, in “Better at life than Skip Bayless,” Adam contrasts Bruce Irvin to 49ers pass rusher Aldon Smith and Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson loses a part of his finger but earns a place on the “Better at life” list.
